FAMU Rattlers just had to many turnovers, in Saturdays game against USF Bulls
FAMU Rattlers came in Saturday hoping to defeat the USF Bulls, but ultimately felt short, in a 38-24 defeat.
Byrum Brown went 20/34 for 197 yards passing with 3 touchdowns. He also had 2 rushing touchdowns, as well. Naiem Simmons #7 had 3 receptions for 59 yards with one being a touchdown, and Jayson Littlejohn who had 3 receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.
FAMU offense had flashes of good plays especially from QB Jeremy Moussa who finished with 24/44 for 374 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. FAMU Wideout Nicholas Dixon #88 Senior had 6 receptions for 98 yards and Marcus Riley #4 had a hiccup early during the game, but later recovered with 5 Receptions for 76 yards.
USF defense showed up big! DJ Gordon #8 had 7 tackles, 4 solo, 2.5 TFL, and a 1 PD, while Daquan Evans #0 finished with 5 tackles, 4 solo.
FAMU’s two most valuable players were Anthony Dunn #58, 12 tackles 6 solo, 0.5 sack, 2.5 TFL, and Isaiah Majors #0 with 11 tackles, 9 solo, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss.
USF just made more plays, when needed, and a few mistakes fewer than FAMU allowed with ultimately losing a challenging game 38 to 24.
