Player Summary:

Evan is a fourth year junior having started 27 games at FAU prior to the 2023 season.  Has solid height and weight with huge legs and a strong upper body. Anderson displays very solid UOH and power at the POA.  His play strength is very solid as he is difficult to block one on one, and is hard to move off the LOS in a double team. His presence as a run-stopper and hole clogger is very noticeable when he is in the game.  He is not just a big immovable body, he also has solid short-area acceleration and is extremely competitive as he will try to run plays down from behind, and in valuable situations during the game, he is always in.  He also has adequate speed to convert from a run stopper to a pass rusher to press the pocket on the QB.  He has even played the 3tech, 2i, NT, and a little DE when Florida Atlantic went to an ODD front.  Quick feet allow him to maintain his center of gravity while taking on double teams and still be in a position to make a play. He has adequate FBI and is quick to read the play as he attacks the Offensive line, sheds blocks, and makes the play or shuts the gap down.
