Player Summary:
RS SR from Paris, KY. He started all 12 games for Marshall in 2022 and was named preseason 4th-team all Sun Belt for the 2023 season. Tucker has no durability concerns as he played over 750 snaps last season. He aligns primarily at RG while occasionally kicking outside to RT. Tucker possesses great size with broad shoulders, a slightly narrower midsection and a thicker lower half. His frame should allow him to continue adding weight. Has adequate length to play on the inside and appears to have good ankle flexibility. He is a knee bender. Tucker displays adequate athleticism with average balance and body control. He is solid in pass pro and sets a good wide base and shows the ability to anchor. Hand placement is solid but inconsistent. Punch needs to be quicker and more violent. He appears to be a smart player who understands his assignment. He will overset at times and lacks the lateral quickness to recover allowing defenders to get to the QB. In run blocker he struggles to blow defenders off the ball and he does not always play with great leverage. At times he gets overextended and lunges to make the block causing him to lose balance. Play strength is inconsistent and struggles to finish blocks at times. Lacks elite quickness and COD and can struggle against quicker defensive linemen. Overall, Tucker is a tough, experienced player with average athleticism and play strength. He must continue getting stronger and quicker to make the transition to the NFL.
Scheme Fit:
OG
Power Statement:
Tucker is an experienced and durable OL with great size and the frame to continue adding weight. Questionable length and average athleticism project him to play OG at the next level
