Player Summary:

6th-year redshirt Senior who played 49 games during his career at FLAT, 1 game as a true freshman. Marginal height and weight with a slim athletic build, long arms, and displaying adequate athletic ability, good combination of speed, quickness, agility, balance, and acceleration. Armani displays very fluid hips allowing him to play sideline to sideline in coverage, dropping into a zone, and adequate closing speed coming downhill in run support or tracking a WR across the field. Adams is a solid processing FS that can help put the secondary in the correct coverage, identifying routes that are run, and flowing down in run support. Adequate play speed is displayed as he processes motions and adjustments by the offense to be in the correct position to get to his zone or pass off a crosser in route, this allows him to stay in phase with the receiver and rarely get out of leverage. Doesn’t play in the box much, due to the scheme of the defense, but when he is in the box, he is undersized to deal with OL, taking blocks on and trying to shed them to get to the play. He does his best work in the open field. Adam displays adequate ball skills adjusting to and playing the path of the ball, both short and deep, and using his hands to break up passes at the appropriate time.

Scheme Fit:

FS

Power Statement:

A very fluid and smooth defender who can defend multiple routes has a high FBI and has adequate speed and quickness to play sideline to sideline.
