The New England Patriots have signed rookie WR Thyrick Pitts out of Delaware. Veteran wide out Jalen Hurd would hang up the cleats one last time and retire on Tuesday. Following his retirement, Pitts was picked up by New England after the Chicago Bears released him. Let’s take a look at the rookie WR college stats.

College career:

The Delaware wide receiver would have a phenomenal career. Thyrick Pitts was a solid WR there are many words to describe the WR–Speedy and Physical are two words that describe Thyrick Pitts the best. Over the course of his career Pitts would appear in 59 games and he would shine! 172 career receptions for 2429 yards with 23 touchdowns, he was outstanding! Pitts would average 41.2 yards a game and average 14.1 yards per reception. Thyrick Pitts would be a  Three time All Colonial Athletic Association pick. Pitts would shine at the Delaware Pro day and would record a 4.44 in the 40 yard dash and a 39” vertical, Great numbers from the Pro day! Now it is time for Pitts to make his impact in the NFL with the New England Patriots.

Karver’s Prediction:

I am going to say that this kid has a serious chance of being a Patriot for a good amount of time, this kid is talented. What Thyrick did at Delaware will translate over to the pros. New England needs to find ways to get the ball into this kid’s hands and just let him make plays. This rookie has crazy good hands and speed, I expect him to breakout during the 2023 preseason.
