What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I just grew up as an athlete and played every sport up until high school and I discovered I could be really good at football and that’s what drove the passion.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Going undefeated my junior year, the past season and being productive and my freshman season my first start against Saginaw Valley State and as a senior in high school playing Southfield and going into 3 overtime’s and winning.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother, because she’s been through so much adversity and still is helping others even while going through multiple joint surgeries and walking a year later and family members passing and always handled things with a great attitude.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Being around the guys for one last time with a goal of winning a national championship.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Antonio Brown, from an entertainment standpoint and just to see how he talks about the ups and downs of his career.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Grand Valley State?

The brotherhood and winning culture and the competitiveness of the environment like going up against guys like Abe Swanson.

What should we know about Tariq Reid the person?

I’m a very efficient and consistent person.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I like the spread offense because it leaves a good balance to open up the run game.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I put my head down and go to work and get through it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A guy that has a track record of being consistent with production and I’m also consistently available. I haven’t missed a practice or game in my career at Grand Valley State.

What stands out about your film the most?

My ability to make the right reads and making decisive and explosive cuts.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Jordan Davis, my left tackle this upcoming as and he’s one of the most underrated offensive linemen out there and some of the media attention on Quinton Barrow may have overshadowed him.
