Player Summary:

6th YR SR and 2 yr full-time starter at QB where he operated the Spread offense of TXMU. He transferred from OKUN prior to the 2021 season and transferred to WIUN prior to the 2023 season. He possesses marginal height, subpar weight with solid speed, and a lean build. He is an average athlete showing a combination of solid acceleration, average lateral quickness, and agility with adequate COD, balance, and explosiveness with average play speed. He does a good job of scanning the field and reading the coverage before delivering the ball with a smooth release. He displays solid accuracy on short and intermediate passes especially when throwing the ball over the middle on crossing and curl routes. He displays good arm strength as he delivers the deep out to the opposite hash and displays a very good touch as he knows when to fire the ball in and when to take velocity off as he tries to thread the needle. He exhibits solid poise as he delivers an on-target pass with a DL/LB in his face. He shows average mobility as he displays the ability to pick up a first down on his own on a bootleg, draw, or design runs as he outruns EDGE with below-average closing speed. He displays the average ability to deliver an accurate ball when on the move. He displays solid leadership ability and mental toughness as he tries to lead his team back near the end of the game. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from consistently escaping the rush from blitzing LB on green dog blitzes as well as DL with good play strength and solid play speed. Displays subpar ability to deliver the deep ball as he puts too much air under the ball leading to an overthrow or interception. He displays adequate decision-making ability as he passes into coverage while trying too hard to thread the needle allowing DB with solid ball skills to make a play on the ball. Marginal contact balance due to his struggling to break tackles from LB and DB with ordinary size. Subpar height leads to the ball being deflected at the LOS by DL with good length and hand timing.

Scheme Fit:

QB in WCO due to his proficiency in passing the ball on short and intermediate routes.

Power Statement:

An experienced player who sees the entire field and is accurate on short and intermediate passes while displaying very good touch. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from escaping the rush by athletic DL and LB.
