Former Raiders first round pick sentenced to 3-10 years in prison for fatal DUI crash

Former Las Vegas Raiders and NFL wide receiver Henry Ruggs was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison Wednesday for the 2021 car crash that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog.

Ruggs issued an apology this morning to Tina Tintor’s family for the pain and suffering they have endured.

You can see the video below.

Ruggs feels he let his family and teammates down for his actions.

“I let my family, my teammates and those who believed in me down with my actions and hurt so many,” the 24-year-old said.

Ruggs has been on house arrest for two years. Ruggs was drinking with his girlfriend at a TopGolf when he decided to drive home. He was going 156 miles per house in a 45 mile per hour zone. When the cars collided it caused Tintor’s RAV4 to travel 571 feet exploding into flames. Killing both her and her dog.

Please keep the family of Tina in your prayers, but also continue to pray for the former Raiders first round pick, because that cannot be an easy situation to deal with. He made a horrible decision, but I doubt he had evil intent.
