Liberty freshman football player Tajh Boyd dies at 19 years old
Liberty freshman offensive lineman Tajh Boyd died, the team announced Sunday. He was 19 years old. A cause of death was not released.
Boyd intended to major in interdisciplinary studies with the goal of becoming a computer science engineer, according to his biography on the school’s website.
Tajh was a big-time prospect from Virginia. He committed in 2022 to Libery over Maryland and Pittsburgh. He was a three star prospect with a mean streak.
Boyd helped lead his high school team to back-to-back championships in the State of Virginia. He was the 28th-best prospect from Virginia.
Please keep the Boyd family and all of Liberty football players in your prayers during this tough time.
