Bailey is a redshirt senior linebacker who has played for CAFR for three years from 2019 – 2022. Plays the MIKE linebacker position in a 4-2 front with the versatility to play OLB when they switch to a  3-4 base defense.Displays good size and speed with a lean athletic build. Has good athletic ability with quick feet, play quickness, play speed, COD, agility, and movement. Has above-average FBI to identify offensive fronts. Above-average ability to diagnose and read quickly, a knack for football. Above-average UOH to make quick contact with blocks to find ball carriers between the tackles. Above-average lateral quickness to move along the LOS. Above-average range to move sideline to sideline and deep in his pass responsibility. He has above-average ball instincts, anticipation, and reaction in pass coverage. Above-average ability to be a sure tackler at the LOS and the open field. Has below-average strength at the POA to control, stack, and tackle to stop ball carriers between the tackles and outside runs. Below-average ability as a blitz rusher to take off and below-average UOH to shed blocks. Below-average hands to create turnovers with INTs. Overall, Bailey has been a big contributor in the Bulldog’s defense that helped them win the Mountain West Conference last season.
