Player Summary:

SR from Atlanta, GA. Transferred to FLCE after spending first two seasons at ALAU. Played QB in high school and also lettered in basketball. Primarily lines up out wide as a Z WR but is frequently used in the slot as well. Average height and weight for the position. Slight lower half. Possesses the frame to add muscle at the next level. Displays excellent athleticism and acceleration. Has good initial quickness and a solid release off the LOS. More fluid than twitchy. He eats space quickly vs off coverage and he does a good job of stemming his routes and leveraging DBs on slants, posts, and corner routes to create separation. Shows good long speed and excellent burst to hit another gear. He shows soft hands, good ball skills and the ability to catch the ball at its highest point. Has very good body control and shows good concentration as he can adjust his body position to the ball to make difficult catches. Has solid run after the catch ability but is not elite. Hudson can struggle at times to beat press coverage. He is an average route runner that will round off cuts at times. He does not show an advanced route tree. However, this may be a product of the run-heavy offense he plays in at FLCE. Hudson shows marginal blocking ability and often shies away from contact in the run game. He does not always play hard and appears to take plays off at times when he knows the ball is not coming his way.

Scheme Fit:

Rotational Slot WR in a pass heavy system

Power Statement:

Hudson is a productive slot WR with excellent athleticism as well as very good acceleration and body control. He must continue getting stronger and refine his route running to become a consistent every down player in the NFL.
