Player Summary:

5th-year senior with a wiry, lanky frame and a slight build. Played three seasons at Nevada before transferring to San Jose State in 2022. Fluidly adjusts to the ball using proficient body control/awareness and competes at the highest point with great length and strong ball skills. Reliable hands catcher with notable ball tracking ability, toughness, and concentration to reel in contested catches against tight man coverage. Possesses quality straight-line speed and the ability to change tempos smoothly throughout his routes. Crafty route runner with a patient release to set up defensive backs at the LOS. Adequate initial quickness off the ball but sinks his hips well to transition out of his breaks on short and intermediate routes. Creates sufficient separation at the top of the route; Could still benefit from being more physical while being guarded in phase. More fast than twitchy with the ball in his hands. Lacks the necessary acceleration/burst at the catch point to accumulate YAC at a high rate. Not shifty enough to make defenders miss consistently enough in the open field. Exhibited underwhelming TD production thus far in his college career, which is a slight concern. Not a premier playmaker by any stretch. Play strength and mass deficiency are two glaring weaknesses in his football profile. Inadequate play strength will limit his ceiling as a perimeter run blocker; Will need to add mass to improve play strength and durability at the next level. Still a good athlete with intriguing physical tangibles and dependable ball skills at all three ranges.

Scheme Fit:

Z Receiver who can line up on the field side or boundary in a spread system. Has some upside as a red-zone target

Power Statement:

Long, athletic receiver with prominent ball skills, instinctual route-running ability, and capable straight-line speed to threaten the defense in the short, intermediate, and deep areas of the field.
