Georgia High School football team gets spanked after making bold pregame banner
High School Football is back in Georgia and you have to love when a team tries to taunt another team by making signs or talking trash. Well, the Rome Wolves had to take on the Rockmart Jackets in a preseason game this past Friday, and it started off with Rockmart making a very bold pregame banner, basically saying they would throttle Rome.
The game was close in the first quarter when Rockmart scored a touchdown going up 6 to 0 with four minutes left in the 1st quarter, but things would quickly turn the other way.
Reece Fountain went off throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the next couple drives. Leading Rome to a major win of 48-6.
Sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut and just play football.
I love this story, I remember as a player things happening like this. Sometimes the loudest person in the room is not always the toughest. I love an underdog story. Let’s Go Rome!
