Player Summary:

5^th year senior.  Starts at CB.  Good size/length.  Plays man mostly.  Above average corner who shows good coverage skills and flashes strength as a run defender.  Flashes good instincts – knows when QBs are scrambling and understands his assignment on the field.  In coverage, he is above average.  Can cover and carry deep routes and does a good job of staying on top of receivers.  Shows good coverage skills around the goal line/short yardage situations.  Can jam at the LOS, exhibits a good punch to jolt receivers, and has good use of hands downfield.  Can whip his head around and play the ball.  Is a physical player but got flagged for interference needlessly at times.  Can be a bit slow to stick his foot in the ground and break on the ball especially on slants.  Snagged an INT v. NCST and does a good job of deflecting passes but would like to see him make more interceptions and show he can undercut routes.  As a run defender, he is above average.  Can shed receivers on the perimeter, bust up screens and be a big hitter.  Can be an inconsistent tackler – needs to wrap up more consistently.  Seems to have a short memory on the field; keeps staying physical even despite penalties.  Flashes good mental toughness/confidence on film.
