Player Summary:

Four-year spot starter at Z-WR position. Father (Walter Stanley) starred at Colorado and played in the NFL. Transferred to Iowa State in 2022 after four seasons at Colorado. Has lined up both inside and outside in Colorado and Iowa State offenses. Slightly below-average size limits outside potential at next level. Good size for an inside slot receiver/gadget player. Has a compact build that helps him be a surprisingly strong blocker for his size. Positions himself well in run game and locks on to defensive back well, providing seal for running back. Highly athletic receiver. Eats up cushion from defensive back quickly with speed. Has enough speed to be used as a gadget player, getting the ball on quick screens and end-around handoffs to make plays. Has the speed to create separation from defenders on crossing routes. Speed should be an asset in the open field, creating YAC opportunities. Quick feet in and out of breaks have a tendency to freeze defenders, allowing for good initial separation with speed to capitalize on it. Shows good adlib ability when the quarterback is in trouble. Provides additional special teams value as a kick returner. Short stature and sub-par arm length limits catch radius. Hampered by poor quarterback play at Colorado and Iowa State. Has a tendency to stumble over feet coming out of breaks. Lacks size and strength to block linebackers. Has not demonstrated ability in contested-catch situations. Does not possess much in the way of open-field tackle breaking ability.

Scheme Fit:

Slot receiver schemed open to utilize athleticism

Power Statement:

Athletic and speedy slot receiver best used in a scheme that will manufacture touches to get him out in space where he can use speed. Quick feet and speed allows him to be a downfield target as well against zone coverages.
