Player Summary:

Strong height/weight measurements, well-developed frame, and durable build. Played four seasons at Kent State before transferring to UCLA after last season. Started eleven games in 2022; Led an RPO-heavy offense that finished the season ranked 2nd in the MAC in yards per game. Clean, consistent footwork and drop back. Boasts a quick setup and great balance at the top of his drop. Possesses a quick, snappy release with no wasted movement. High FBI and read & react to anticipate open windows pre & post-snap. Confident decision-making ability and is decisive with his RPO exchanges. Delivers the ball from multiple arm angles when on and off the platform. Flashes quality arm strength, accuracy, and ball placement to all three levels. Uses high-level velocity and touch to fit the ball into tight windows in the short and intermediate ranges. Tough and willing to stand tall in the pocket in the face of pressure. Advanced pocket mobility and awareness to avoid pressure in a condensed backfield. Sheds tackle from incoming pass rushers using notable play strength and contact balance. Proficient play speed and athletic ability to avoid pressure and escape the pocket. Throws an accurate ball when on the run and fluidly resets his feet when returning to the platform. A sufficient runner with decent twitch who can move the chains. Proved to be a good leader with a clear command of his offense. Produced decent numbers at Kent State but should see a substantial increase in production when surrounded by P5-quality talent at UCLA.

Scheme Fit:

Up-tempo, spread-style, and RPO-centric offense

Power Statement:

Versatile quarterback who flashed intriguing arm talent, high athletic upside, and sharp decision-making & processing ability in his lone season starting at the G5 level.
