Player Summary:

6th YR RS SR and 1 yr full-time starter in the balanced offense of ALSO. He transferred from OHTO prior to the 2022 season. He possesses average height, subpar weight and ordinary speed with a slender build. He is an adequate athlete showing a combination of adequate COD, balance, explosiveness, acceleration, lateral quickness and agility with adequate play speed. He shows a quick release and transfers his weight to his front foot before delivering the ball with above-average velocity and solid accuracy on short and intermediate passes placing the ball on the correct shoulder giving the receiver a chance to maximize YAC. He displays good arm strength as he possesses the ability to deliver the deep out from the hash to the opposite side of the field. He displays solid ability when throwing on the move delivering an accurate ball when rolling out to his right. He displays very good poise as he stands tall in the pocket and delivers an accurate ball with a DL or LB in his face. He displays solid leadership as he leads his team to a comeback victory in the 4th qtr. (MSSO). He exhibits subpar ability to deliver an accurate deep ball as he puts too much air under it causing it to be overthrown or allows FS in cover 1 with solid range and ball skills to make a play on the ball. His below-average play speed prevents him from escaping the rush and from DL/EDGE with solid closing speed when rushing through the A or B gap. He displays ordinary mobility as he struggles to gain significant yardage consistently on the ground. He possesses marginal contact balance due to lack of quality upper body strength. He is an ordinary decision maker overall as he tends to hold onto the ball for too long causing him to take unnecessary hits and often passes the ball into tight coverage. Lack of quality ability to make full field reads causes him to be inconsistent at seeing the entire field and will stare down a safety before throwing an interception.

Scheme Fit:

QB in WCO due to his accuracy on short and intermediate passes.

Power Statement:

Experienced QB with quality poise and above-average arm strength. Below-average AA and play speed prevents him from escaping the rush consistently.
