Aqib Talib’s Brother sentenced to 37 years in prison for Youth Football Coach Murder

Aqib Talib’s Brother sentenced to 37 years in prison for Youth Football Coach Murder

Yaqub Talib the brother of former NFL superstar Aqib Talib has been sentenced to 37 years in prison for the murder of Mike Hickmon a youth football coach in Texas.

On Monday morning, a Judge sentenced Talib in a Dallas County courtroom. Aqib was also in attendance for the proceedings. Talib shot and killed Mike Hickmon on August 13, 2022, after a heated dispute turned into a melee.

During the altercation, Hickmon’s family claimed Yaqub pulled out a handgun and fired five shots at Hickmon, striking him multiple times, leading to his death.
