Ohio State star says he wishes he could be paid for NIL in tractors rather than money

Cade Stover is a pretty amazing football player for Ohio State, but he is a big fan of farming. While players are signing NIL deals left and right to get money, Stover personally would rather be paid in tractors than cash or crypto.

During the Big Ten Media Day, Stover was asked to estimate how much he has made in NIL, and he quickly said he would rather be paid in tractors.

Stover’s Ohio family farm produces cattle, corn, alfalfa and the family also has two butcher shops. So we could see why a tractor makes sense to him. If a company like John Deere was to sponsor him as an NIL it would be used well.

I think it would be smart for them to try to get in the NIL space and give him a tractor for the family business. They can do a special on ESPN this year and it will get kids to think differently. I love it because it is a branding move that makes a ton of sense. Money will only get you so much, but a tractor will continue to make money through business. I love this response!
