At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

I’ve been playing football since I was 5. I always loved it and I knew I wanted to play as long as I could.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

If I could donate to underprivileged kids getting into a sport I would. I think that sports provide structure for young people that we need and help people who play stay on the right path

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Be a professional in everything you do. If you don’t handle your business and treat yourself and everything you do with respect, then no one will take anything you do seriously or treat you with respect

Who was your childhood hero?

My dad, he was always tough on me playing sports when I was younger, but as I have gotten older I have come to see it was because he knew I could be a good athlete and I appreciate him for that.

People who only go hard when there is a camera or someone watching

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

When I transferred to Troy. I made a quick decision and left my best friends and teammates behind. The coaches and players talked and all decided that they would welcome me with open arms and allow me to transfer back onto the Samford football team. This summer I have enjoyed every day being with the program and I am not going to take anything for granted

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

I have a different college journey than most. The people at my school are why we are so successful. Coach Hatcher is the best in the business and how he and his staff manages our team is something that can not be appreciated enough. Walking into our building every day you want to be your best for the people that Samford has brought into your life.

What is your favorite snack food?

I like the dots honey mustard pretzels

What is the best part of football?

The best part of football is the locker room. The games are fun, but the practices and the time spent with your teammates after practice is where I have my best memories

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I am someone who will have a constant drive and a great outlook on the sport that I will not only be constantly looking to get myself better but my teammates around me better as well.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

I watch a lot of Travis Kelce he’s the best route-running tight end ever and I try to pick up pieces of his game that I can add to mine

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordan. I wouldn’t say much. I would like to just take in what all of the best players in their sport had to say to each other and how they would all interact.
