What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I started playing football in my sophomore year in high school. I was a basketball player before that and I transferred to a different school one of the coaches there really got me into football and he’s the main reason I got into football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Earning my first scholarship in high school and being able to get a degree was huge. In college being able to go out with guys from different backgrounds to form a brotherhood and it’s the people you meet along the way that makes it special.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

They all inspire me in different ways. My mom and dad set the standard high and to go after things and my siblings keep me going.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I just transferred to Illinois State and I’m looking to bring experience and be a leader on and off the football field and win.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Jason Kelce, I love his motor and the way he plays the game. He has a ton of experience and knows how to play the game the right way and to just sit down with him and soak up some knowledge because he’s a dawg would be great.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I just love the atmosphere and the drive people have and the game of football teaches you what hard work gives you and it’s not for everyone.

What should we know about Larry Ross the person?

He’s a God-loving, family-first type of man that puts everything out there on the field and is a hard worker and a leader and that will never change.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Throughout my career, I’ve been in a couple of spread offenses but I’m old school and like inside zone type of schemes and just run in and block against people and move people against my will I’m a lineman and that’s what linemen do.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I like to face adversity head-on and don’t run from it and keep in contact with the family to keep things comfortable. I’ve faced a lot of adversity on the field and have learned to adapt to any situation.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A player that has 5 years of experience in college football, I’m a leader and mentor to younger people and I play for the team not for myself and I’m a person who is just going to come in and work hard.

What stands out about your film the most?

I feel like I have always been more athletic than most 6’ 5” 300-pound offensive linemen, and I have good footwork I am long and know how to run block and I like putting guys on their a**.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Joshua Zamot, I feel like he is Kyler Murray in a sense. He knows how to run and throw in the pocket and he is a dawg.
