What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I fell in love with football at a young age growing up was kind of difficult sometimes and football took my mind off a lot of things going on in my life.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

In high school my junior year I scored a scoop and score off a fumble recovery. Also beating ranked opponents in our conference the past two seasons at LCU.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother is the strongest person I know she taught me a lot of important things at a young age. She always pushes me to be the best young man I am becoming today.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

For the upcoming season, I am looking forward to becoming an All-American. Also, help my team win in every possible way I can.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would hang out with Poona Ford. I would hang out with Poona Ford because he is a very technically sound player I would ask him about the Xs and Os of the defensive line.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Louisiana Christian?

Playing here and meeting teammates over the past couple of years is a great experience. Also changing the narrative about this program we are contenders in the conference now.

What should we know about Kelan Bourgere the person?

I am a humble hard-working player. I want to get better every day and also want to be the best teammate I possibly can be every day. I lead by example and I don’t settle for less.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I like the traditional 4-3 defense. I like being a gap-sound defensive lineman and rushing four defensive linemen can help get a sack or make the quarterback uncomfortable in any way.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I believe in the strong survive when things get hard just keep on attacking it some days will be better than others I learned that at a young age.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A hard-working humble player. Plays with an edge pursues the football and a guy who will do his job at the line of scrimmage. Will do the little things right on and off the field.

What stands out about your film the most?

I win the line of scrimmage more times than not. I can rush from the edge and contain the QB in a defensive line stunt game. I have the versatility to line up in any shade or different technique on the defensive line as well.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Micah Dunn is the most underrated player I have played with. He taught me how to carry myself as a college athlete and take it as a professional approach. The most important thing he taught me is to stay true to myself and become a leader, not a follower.
