Former Abilene Christian football star Kade Parmelly lost his battle with cancer

Former ACU football star Kade Parmelly has passed away following a battle with cancer. Parmelly announced this winter that he had been diagnosed with Leukemia.

He was a two-time team captain at Abilene Christian and an honorable mention All-Southland Conference selection in 2018.
The former small school standout transferred to Duke where he was a starter in all 12 games in 2021.
Parmelly was a standout football player and track & field athlete at Abilene Wylie HS. After Abilene Christian and Duke, he went on to perform at the Tropical Bowl.
