Austin Peay State defensive back dies in car crash

Jeremiah Collins, a defensive back for Austin Peay State, died Friday night in a crash near the campus. 

Per the USA Today, Collins was driving near Clarksville, Tennessee when his pickup truck rolled over several times while traveling at a high rate of speed.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Collins was a graduate of Oakland High School in Tennessee.

Beforehand, he was a standout corner for Male High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and at one point was committed to the Louisville Cardinals.

The Governors signed him last February.
