Former Grand Valley State football player Allante Leapheart passed away after a tragic accident
Allante Leapheart was motivated, and hungry. He was not going to give up his dream of playing football, and he persevered through many trials and tribulations to get on the football field. The standout defensive back went home with Jesus after getting into an accident.
Grand Valley State posted their condolences to the standout defensive back. We sat down with Allante last year for his draft prospect interview.
The Detroit, Michigan native is 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds. Leapheart spent his first two collegiate seasons at Mendocino College (2016) and Santa Rosa Junior College (2018) before transferring to Eastern Kentucky University in 2019. Leapheart then transferred to Grand Valley State at the conclusion of the 2020 season. He received all-conference recognition in addition to serving both EKU and GVSU as team captain.
He recently signed with the Frisco Fighters for the 2023 season.
A GoFundMe was created by his friend, Kalei Aukai, if you can give anything to help the family it would be a huge help. Make sure you pray for the Leapheart family during this tragic situation.
