What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2024 NFL Draft

I am a Swiss army knife when it comes to the defensive back position. I can blitz, play man and zone coverage, fit the run with bad intentions, and have the ball skills and range to change a game. All while having the football knowledge to know what the other 10 men on the field are doing as well.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

For as long as I could remember my dad has had a football in my hands. Since I was very young my parents always said I picked up throwing and catching the ball easily. Also, I was always drawn to the sport because my dad played.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

I want to lead and be a leader of men toward a common goal. I love the sport and I love gamedays because there is nothing like it. But, the process leading up to the big moment is addicting to me. Analyzing, practicing, and preparing your mind and body to win teaches discipline and life lessons that I will never forget.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

I would donate to a cause that helped struggling families and single mothers. There are so many people less fortunate in our communities and those families hold a special place in my heart. I would love to give back and help them in any way I can.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

All you have in life is your name. When people bring you up what are they going to say about you?

Who was your childhood hero?

Ed Reed

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

Ed Bobino III

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Unorganized People

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

The hardest moment in my life to overcome was receiving the news that my mom was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer in 2016. Just starting my high school journey this crushed me every day. But, I chose to use my mom as my motivation to work harder and not take time for granted. She is a true warrior, and I am so glad I got to see that firsthand. She is now cancer free and we are extremely blessed.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

Nacogdoches was the first town in Texas in 1779. It is a special place to me because it is where I came into my own as a man and collegiate athlete. Coming to east texas has been a pleasure although I am from the city. I really like the scenery and peace and quiet.

What is your favorite snack food?

Cheeze its, Gummy worms

What is the best part of football?

The best part about football to me, is coming together as a team and grinding towards a common goal.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I’m willing to do what others won’t do so that I can do what others can.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

Tyrann Mathieu

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. Jesus
  2. Muhammad Ali
  3. Fredrick Douglass

The three people I listed above I feel like I would have an extremely filling conversation. The wisdom and the stories I would receive would be so crazy. I might just stay quiet the whole time and let them do the talking about their lives!
