What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I think the deciding factor is when I began to play travel ball and saw the opportunities and bonds I was able to create on those trips. I really enjoyed the experience and competition that came with it.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I think my favorite moments have to be winning my high school state championship and this past year winning a share of our conference championship as well.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would say my mom really because she manages to fully support me in everything I do on and off the field she is really a rock in my support system so I would say she inspires me to pursue my goals and aspirations.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

This upcoming season I’m looking forward to improve on some things I wasn’t as good as I could’ve been at. I of course want to continue to become a better leader for my team. Also a few games on our schedule I’m looking forward to as well.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang out with any football player it would definitely be Tom Brady he is by far The Goat! Just to be able to train and pick his brain for a day would be amazing.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Howard?

Some of my favorite things about playing for Howard is the community support for athletics and the school in general, whether that’s the students or alumni, the support is unwavering. I really enjoy playing for a HBCU the sense of pride playing for a HBCU is like no other honestly playing for all those greats before you.

What should we know about Quinton Williams the person?

I would like people to know that in general I’m a very calm and poised guy with great character. Along with me being very respectful and accountable on and off the field while doing the right things.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I would say spread because it allows me to see the defense faster on all three levels on rotation. The spread allows more to happen in my opinion from quick game to RPO game while still being able to take shots off your momentum in the run game.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

First and foremost I pray that I am able to get through these obstacles, but I like to try and get different views on the situation so I’m not just seeing it from just my own agenda’s purpose.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would be getting leader both verbally and one who can lead by example. A team would be getting an accountable teammate. Just a player who everyday will come into work ready to get better.

What stands out about your film the most?

The command I had in our system. You’ll be able to see my ability to be patient. You’ll be able to see me throw the deep ball and be a playmaker when necessary all while being an accurate QB.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Dashawn Ingram who plays center for us. I would say him simply because he’s so versatile coming in freshman year he was asked to play tackle. I’ve literally seen him play all 3 positions on the offensive line in one game. He puts the work in, he never complains and he’s always up for the task while maintaining a smile on his face.
