Player Summary:
5th YR SR and 1 yr full-time starter at EDGE where he lines up predominantly at Wide 9 and occasionally as a 5T and in a 2 pt stance in the 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 Nickel heavy defense of CTUN. He possesses good height, poor weight and above-average speed with a lean, athletic build. He is a good athlete showing a combination of good acceleration, COD, balance, explosiveness lateral quickness and agility with above-average play speed. He is an above-average pass rusher. He exhibits a solid getoffwith good hip and ankle flexion as he bends well at the apex and exhibits above-average UOH delivering a well-timed punch to the frame of the OT. He shows average counter ability as he executes a rip move if he is unable to win initially with his bullrush. He uses his average play strength to disengage from OT with ordinary size, length and UOH who bend at the waist. He effectively uses his good lateral quickness and agility to execute stunts and twists towards the A gap. He plays with a good motor with solid closing speed in pursuit before finishing up with a sack or QBH. He is solid against the run. He exhibits solid FBI as he reads run/pass and uses his above-average AA to win the outside shoulder of the OT with ordinary play speed on zone blocks or uses his average play strength to overpower TE with adequate physical toughness and size. He plays at a good pad level before showing solid form as he makes the tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage. He displays very good range as he pursues the outside run well outside the tackle box. He exhibits quality mental toughness as he rises to the occasion on 4th down as well as in the redzone. He possesses an ordinary pass rush move repertoire consisting mainly of a bullrush, long-arm and rip move. Lack of quality play strength prevents him from quickly disengaging from OT with good size, grip strength and physical toughness.
