Michigan Panthers add QB EJ Perry late in season

Michigan Panthers add QB EJ Perry Late in Season

Written by Karver Jordan

The former Brown University and now Michigan Panthers QB is someone football fans should keep a name out for. Perry was great at Brown, he should translate that over to the USFL

About the player: EJ Perry, Quarterback, Michigan Panthers

Age: 25

Height and Weight: Six foot two inches (6’2”) 210 Pounds

College career: The 2021 season was exciting for EJ Perry, What a season from the Brown QB. Perry would attempt 445 passes and complete 296 of them. (296-445) for 3,034 yards with 23 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions. Not bad numbers from the Brown Signal Caller, definitely some numbers he could have done better but the numbers are solid. The QB would record a completion percentage of 66.5%. The 2021 season statics would grant him a chance to perform in the NFL Combine.

NFL Combine:

40-Yard-Dash: 4.65 Seconds | Thoughts: Has great speed for a QB.

Vertical Jump: 34.5” | Thoughts: The QB is athletic.

Professional Career:

EJ Perry would get his chance to showcase his talents. The Jacksonville Jaguars would give the Brown signal caller a chance, he would play in two preseason games and would record 48 passing attempts and complete 25 of them. (25-48) Perry would record a completion percentage of 52.1% with 293 yards and one passing touchdown and three interceptions. Not the start Perry wanted, however, he is still growing. Next up on EJ Perry’s journey is playing for the Michigan Panthers, this is going to be a great chance for Perry to prove he has what it takes to play at the next level.

Final thoughts:

I think EJ Perry is going to be good for the Michigan Panthers, good to see someone from New England playing at the next level. The signal-caller will continue to improve, I believe that he can be something really special for the Panthers
