What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My big cousin played and I went to almost every game when I was little which made me fall in love with the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Catching 2 picks in my first little league game. In high school, we beat our rivals and I completely shut out their best guy. Also, another moment in high school was catching my first pick on varsity.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I wouldn’t say one family member but my mom and pops being that they did whatever it took to get me where I needed to be and pushed me to be the best I could be. Because I see them going hard every day so I want to change that if I’m blessed to be able to.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Playing with a great group of guys we have. Going to be a special year for us as a team and that’s what I look forward to the most.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Ed Reed loves his passion for the game and I think he’s a pretty chill guy.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Kingsville?

The rich tradition and history of the school the atmosphere around Kingsville football and also for the coaches how they turned the program around with the guys they brought in.

What should we know about Dailon Gants the person?

A smart, mentally, and physically tough football player who loves the game. A guy that gives great effort and attitude towards everything and just is thankful for everything in life good and bad.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3–4, I play the Sam in our scheme and I’m used to covering and also playing in the box love that because it shows how versatile I am for a guy my size where I could either be your DB or your outside LB.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I pray through stressful situations, I pray for a lot of faith in the man above to guide me in the right direction he is in control on the field I take coaching and also know and prepare myself for situations that will challenge me so if in that case on the field I revert back to my training.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A versatile defender I can play your own safety or outside backer and also can be used to cover slot receivers now that the game is changing with speed I could offer a lot in many positions. Very heavy film watchers like to study and play off of the offense tendencies.

What stands out about your film the most?

Communication a lot of times I’m always talking and pointing out things I stick to and an effort to get the ball and my physicality.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Man this is a good question it’s so many but it would be rightfully so Tavyn Jackson he had a couple of health issues at South Carolina but when I met him in Juco dude was a baller and still could play anywhere in the backend of your defense and ball.
