What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

One of my old teachers/coaches named Coach Graves saw me in the hallway one day and asked me if I played sports I said no then once I started I fell in love with it.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

To prove myself more as a player and to enjoy the different experiences that come with a college football season.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom easily! Watching her lose both her parents while being a single mother was rough but the way she was able to overcome those hard times and be there for me and others inspires me to be great in not just football but life.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

That’s a tough one either my senior year of HS we finished 12-2 I got the chance to play with Gatorade player of the year and GPOTY runner up or last season when I was at Louisiana Christian and we won 6 straight to end the season while also having the most ranked wins in school history.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Trent Williams, one because he’s my favorite player but two the things he does off the field he’s beat cancer, he’s donated money to schools but most importantly he’s an inspiring figure for young black men.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

In simple terms it’s saved my life, but to be more in depth I get to leave all my problems where they are and get to play a game that I enjoy for some time stress free I also love that I play a position where I protect and pave a way for people which are things I take pride in doing in and out of football.

What should we know about Zion Bowens the person?

I’m a smart and genuine person that’s been blessed to overcome a lot of things. I believe I have a helping spirit so I love to help and see people grow.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Spread offense because it allows your playmakers at all offensive positions to get out in space and make a play.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I try my best to beat to think then attack the problem, there’s been times I’ve done what’s best and there’s been times I probably haven’t but that’s life no one person or player is perfect it’s about consistency and the actions taken to create that consistency.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team first player that wants better for everyone around him on and off the field. Also a player that does his job and does the small things to help a team win games. I also have a lot of experience in a lot of different football situations.

What stands out about your film the most?

My size and the fact that I try and put myself in the right spots even when I’m at a disadvantage.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Kelan Bourgere he’s a former teammate of mine at Louisiana Christian that plays DT his combo of power/speed is pretty good and he’s humble, overall great player and teammate.
