Matt Araiza says he is not upset with Buffalo Bills in interview with Tomi Lahren

Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza releases a statement on the lawsuit filed against him
Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza is not upset with the Buffalo Bills for cutting him.

The Buffalo Bills drafted Matt Araiza aka Punt God last year in the NFL Draft, and he was cut quickly after allegations were made that he reportedly gang raped a female.

Well, the former San Diego State punter should be upset with how the NFL handled his situation, but he is not upset. It was discovered last week that Araiza was not even at the party where the girl claims she was gang raped, and is now cleared of the allegations.

Araiza sat down with Tomi Lahren and says he understands the idea of innocent until proven guilty does not exist in America today, but he does not hold a grudge against the Buffalo Bills for cutting him.

“It was a shock to me, growing up my whole life wanting to be a pro athlete, the thought is if I’m good enough I’ll be able to have that career and play at that level, but that wasn’t the case,” Araiza told Lahren. “I was cut because of these allegations.”

“I hold nothing against the Buffalo Bills, I wish things were handled differently,” Araiza continued. “But they did treat me with respect, which I appreciate. It’s just the climate of how things are now. Accusations bring so much hate to anyone who stands by the accuser that they were kind of forced to cut me from the team.”

“In my heart, I believe that I will get another shot at the NFL and I’m looking forward to that,” Araiza said. “I’m staying ready and just waiting for my name to be called.”

Araiza believes he will get another shot in the NFL after everything is settled. He has a monster leg, and it there is no doubt he was the best punter in the NFL Draft last year. He can rocket a punt and showed that off in the pre-season before getting cut. I hope Araiza is able to get another shot, he is a talented player.
