What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Mainly my dad. He was a great football player and coach and seeing his love for the game made me want to play football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Friday Night Lights were the best, I feel like you can’t beat that. Winning back to back conference championships at Albion, and winning MIAA MVP as well.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would say my mom. She has done everything for me throughout my life and it’s one of my goals to pay her back.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to a new challenge transferring to Northwood and winning as many games as possible.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Cam Newton. He was my favorite NFL player growing up and he seems to be a very chill guy to hang out with.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the relationships that football creates and the challenges that come along the way. I love to compete and being able to do that with people who I consider family, there is nothing better.

What should we know about Mark Tocco the person?

I’m a very hard working guy and I pride myself on that. I feel as if every day is another opportunity to get better at something.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

As a wide receiver, I love spread offense. Having five guys lined up at receivers and letting it loose as an offense, you can’t beat that.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

For challenges on and off the field, I feel as if it’s important to take those challenges head on. You learn more from struggling than you do when you succeed. Knowing you can overcome those obstacles will make you more confident both on and off the field.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Teams are getting the hardest worker on the field. I try and soak in as much knowledge as I can because I know how much more I can improve. I’m willing to do anything for the team to succeed.

What stands out about your film the most?

I think the plays that I can make after I catch the ball is what sticks out the most. Get me the ball and I’ll make something happen. Also, my blocking has improved and I take pride in that.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I’ve played with is probably Jack Bush. He’s one of the smartest players I’ve ever been around and we had a great connection on the field.
