What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Seeing my uncles plays, and the excitement that comes with the game!
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
The opportunity to play at an HBCU, winning a conference championship, and putting up the best stats possible.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom because she shows me what it means to work as hard as I can till things pay off regardless of what obstacles are put in front of me.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Just being able to compete with my brothers, creating life long memories that we will one day tell our kids about!
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Bo Jackson, I feel there a lot of knowledge to gain from him on and off the field. Which I think can be beneficial to me not only as a player but as a man.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Spread it allows players to show how versatile they truly are.
What should we know about Jaleen Jones the person?
That I believe in myself more than anyone, I live by high standards, my family is my first priority, and I understand how precious time is so I am always trying to better my craft.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
It’s a highly competitive sport, where you can be “free”. Full of excitement and because there’s so much to gain from playing not only on the field but also outside of it.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
By setting goals, and doing whatever to achieve them. I tend to try and find ways to work smarter rather than harder. I also turn towards my family and lean on them for encouragement.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A hard worker who will always give it my all day in and day out. When I set my mind to being the best at something, I go above and beyond to ensure my success. They will get a player who will put as much effort into being a man as I do perfecting my craft.
What stands out about your film the most?
My athletic ability, how hard I run downhill, and my motor. I play with a lot of energy and emotions and you can see it while I play.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Blake Shoddie, he’s a dog, has a great motor and no matter what always goes the extra mile. He tends to get over looked because of his height he for sure can compete with the best of the best. He motivates me to never listen to what others say about you just to stay level headed and use it as motivation.
