Iowa State linebacker Aidan Ralph arrested on felony rape charges

A 20-year-old linebacker at Iowa State is being charged with felony rape after a woman claimed he shoved her so hard into stairs at his home that it fractured her spine. He then continued to rape her.
According to police reports, Aidan Ralph, a 20-year-old linebacker and redshirt sophomore from Chicago, was arrested this week on felony sexual assault and misdemeanor domestic violence charges in the alleged attack that occurred back in December.
Ralph reportedly accused the woman of cheating and shoved her several times, including once into the stairs. The resulting injury caused the woman to lose mobility and she pleaded with Ralph to call an ambulance, police wrote. He refused and instead lay on top of her and raped her as she cried and begged him to stop, according to the affidavit.
Bond is set at 11,000 dollars and Ralph is being appointed a public defender. Ralph has been removed from the Iowa State football team.
