Rockbridge High School in Columbia, Missouri lost a very good football player on Friday.

Evan Avery the team’s quarterback was killed in a car accident that involved four cars.

According to police reports, a car carrying five people ran through a red light striking a vehicle on the side. None of the kids in the car that ran the light were wearing their seat belts, because one passenger was ejected.

Two other vehicles were hit during the crash, with one juvenile suffering life-threatening injuries, and multiple others injured.

Coach Matt Perkins made this post about holding a vigil for the young QB at the field.

Please keep Evan’s family and friends in your prayers during this tough time.
