What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

When I was in middle school I saw people with jerseys on playing peewee and I wanted to play peewee just because they had nice jerseys on.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

In college, we were down 28 and by halftime, we tied it up and ended up winning the game.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My momma just because she raised 4 boys by herself and didn’t complain one bit.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Winning conference and getting a ring I never got in my whole football career.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Drew Brees, is my favorite quarterback considering how tall he is he had some really good speeches and he is a football and family guy.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Henderson State?

The aggression that they put towards the players to make them work and turn men into boys and the brotherhood that we have an impact on each other.

What should we know about Denzel Walter the person?

I’m a hard worker, I don’t really complain and always work to improve and if I ever mess up I’m going to take it and improve on it.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

3-4, I like how it stops the run and as a 4 tech you get single blocks and I love single blocks. Also how the linebackers come in to hold the run down every time I lose seeing that.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I attack them head on and if I do get stepped back from challenges I just step forward and work harder and go full speed.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A guy that is hungry to work and work hard and earn my spot and they are going to get every bit of me and a guy very passionate about the game.

What stands out about your film the most?

The physicality, the ability to disengage from offensive linemen, and the ability to control my gap.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

My high school quarterback Darius Holly, he was a really good quarterback and knew how to lead a team and he was at Arkansas but I don’t know where he is now.
