What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve always played football since I was young and I fell in love with it more and more since I got older. And my family is big on football and there are some good athletes in my family as well.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I feel like I’m getting better and better and the best is still to come and I want to be one of the best football players to ever play.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

Of my parents, just watching them when I was young putting in long hrs and days it made me realize you have to hustle to get what you want.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I just want to make sure I produce and have a good winning season and hopefully get a conference championship.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

JJ Watt, he would give me a lot of feedback about the position of defensive lineman and help improve me to be a better defensive lineman as well.

What are your favorite things about playing football for UNC Pembroke?

It’s just taught me how to handle adversity and how you can overcome challenges and obstacles.

What should we know about Branden Spencer the person?

I’m a cool laid back guy.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3, I feel like it stops the run and can be very effective with the pass.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

A challenge is like a test and to pass you have to stand up and fight and do your best to overcome it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

I’m a natural playmaker and someone who can bring life and intensity to a game.

What stands out about your film the most?

My good tendencies and natural instincts to find my way to the ball and make plays in general.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Dante Bowlding, He’s a powerful hitter who comes down at the safety position and is a skilled returner and he’s just underrated because of being at a small school and he doesn’t have the ideal size.
