Birmingham Stallions face off against the New Orleans Breakers

Stadium: Protective Stadium, Birmingham, AL

Channel: FOX

Man oh man, we got quite the game this weekend. The four and two Birmingham Stallions are facing off against the four and two New Orleans Breakers. Both teams have very high-powered offenses, this is going to be a great game.

Quarterback battle:

Both teams have excellent QBs, Breakers quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson leads the whole USFL with 1,512 passing yards so far this season. On the other hand, the Stallions Alex McGough has 12 passing touchdowns, he leads the USFL in passing TDs. McGough is very dominant on the ground as well, with 296 yards just from rushing. Alex McGough is by far the most dominant player in the whole USFL at this point however, McLeod Bethel-Thompson is one of the most accurate QBs in the USFL. It’s fair to say that both teams have great signal-callers.

Rushing game:

Breakers runningback Wes Hills leads the whole USFL in rushing yards at 500. Hills averages 83.3 yards a game, should be a tough battle for the Stallions to stop arguably the best RB in the league. CJ Marable the BHam RB has stepped especially in the win over the Michigan Panthers in week six. Marable would have 18 rushing attempts and would record 100 yards on the ground, as well as three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown. The RB is good in all aspects of the game.

Number one Offense vs Number two Offense

The Breakers are the best offense in the league heading into week seven, 337.3 yards a game from on average New Orleans.  Birmingham averages around 323.2 yards a game, neck, and neck for these offenses. There will be a lot of points.

Breakers league the league on Offensive side of ball

Third best Defense vs the Fourth best Defense

Both teams are very average on defense, right in the middle of the rest of the league. The Breakers allowed around 274.3 a game, compared to the Stallions defense allowing 315.3 yards a game.

Final Thoughts

This should be a great game for both teams. Multiple different players to watch out for, Many points will be scored. If the Stallions start the game off early, it’ll be hard for the Breakers to keep up with the high-powered Offense. We shall see, should be a great game for USFL fans!

Who do you think will win?

Who’s a player you’re going to be watching out for?
