Player Summary:

6th yr GR and 1 yr full-time starter at WR where he aligns at both outside positions as well as in the slot in the up-tempo offense of KSST. He transferred from NEUN prior to the ’22 season. He possesses average height and weight with subpar speed, adequate length and an athletic build. He is an ordinary athlete showing a combination of solid lateral quickness and agility, average explosiveness and COD with adequate acceleration and top end play speed. He displays average quickness off the LOS with good FBI as he effectively reads the coverage and finds the soft spot in zone. He is an above-average route runner exhibiting solid hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem at a 45-degree angle on slants and 90 degrees on dig and drag routes. He displays solid hands as he possesses the manual dexterity needed to enable him to have a catch radius that allows him to catch the ball with his hands away from his body. After the catch is made, he shows good contact balance as he keeps his feet moving on contact breaking tackles from DB with marginal explosiveness and picks up extra yardage. He does a solid job of adjusting his body to the ball on underthrown passes. He is an above-average run blocker who shows good UOH in his placement and timing combined with sufficient play strength as he maintains his block against DB with average size and physical toughness. He exhibits quality mental toughness as he rises to the occasion on 3rd and 4th down both as a blocker and receiver. He is subpar in contested catch situations as he struggles to box out CB with solid size and ball skills on 50/50 balls. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from consistently separating at the top of his route in off-man against CB and Nickel DB with good AA on intermediate and deep routes. He displays below-average YAC ability due to him struggling to outrun DB with good play speed.

Scheme Fit:

Slot WR

Power Statement:

Intelligent, tough, reliable player who rises to the occasion on 3rd and 4th down. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from taking the top off a defense.
