Phillip Adams was a great football player for South Carolina State University, but in 2021 he snapped killing six people before he took his own life.

His family is now suing his Alma Mater years later, blaming th school for this incident.

Doctors posthumously diagnosed Adams with stage two chronic traumatic encephalopathy for CTE. It is a Brain disease that is common in football players who have suffered major blows to their heads.

The lawsuit says Adams sustained head trauma while playing for the SCSU Bulldogs from 2006 to 2009. The family claims the university didn’t properly treat Adams’ head injuries or educate him about the long-term health impacts he could suffer.

The Alzheimer’s Association says CTE has been linked with personality changes, erratic behavior, aggression, and suicide.

Adams started 78 games in the NFL over five years for six different teams. The former 7th round pick of the 49ers is dead after a shooting rampage in South Carolina.

Adams played college football for the South Carolina State Bulldogs and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Jets.

According to reports, Adams shot six people, killing six people including a prominent doctor in South Carolina and two children before he killed himself.
