41 Scholarship Players on Colorado have entered the transfer portal since Deion Sanders was hired

Deion Sanders was not kidding when he said he was bringing his own baggage with him to Colorado. The legendary talker had 18 players enter the transfer portal on Monday, and that brings up his total to 41 scholarship players entering the portal since 2022 when Coach Prime was hired. They had 46 total players transfer from 2022-2023.

So far, 63 of their 83 scholarship players from 2022 have moved on. As of right now there are only 20 players from the 2022 team that are still on the roster.

Deion had one thing in mind when he was hired by Colorado. He was going to build a monster. He said that. He wanted to compete. He is basically stripping his roster down to nothing, and allowing his players to leave early to hopefully find a home.

At Jackson State Deion had 70 new players in his first year. At this point, at least 62 players for his 2023 roster will be new scholarship players.

There are many speculating that more of the 2022 players could enter the portal. No other Power 5 program has lost more than 29 players ever.
