Denver Broncos cornerback cited in South Florida for carrying a concealed firearm without a permit
Denver Broncos cornerback Faion Hicks was arrested over the weekend in South Florida, and would likely not have been charged if it was a few days later.
Hicks, 24 a South Florida native was stopped by police around 7:36 pm on April 1st after an officer noticed he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. According to reports, Hallandale Beach Police cited Hicks for disobeying a stop sign, driving with an expired license, and carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.
The crazy thing is yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill allowing anyone in the state of Florida to possess and carry a weapon even without a permit. The wild thing is the bill will not take effect until July 1st.
So technically, the charge could end up getting dropped in court. I doubt it will be hard to beat with the recent bill being signed.
