The NFL Network has let former New England Patriots pass rusher Willie McGinest go from their network. The NFL Network is cutting personnel left and right to include Mike Giardi and Jim Trotter.

McGinest is currently being sued by a man he beat up in California back in December. McGinest has been charged with two felony charges and had been serving a suspension from the network.

McGinest was caught on camera beating the hell out a man in a restaurant and hitting him in the head with a bottle.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed the charges this week. McGinest was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury.

McGinest could land 8 years in prison for the violent attack. Both charges carry four years in prison. The arraignment will take place in April.

McGinest has worked for the NFL Network for years and had short stints with Fox and ESPN as well in the past.
