SHAQ defends Deion Sanders take on recruits coming from a two parent household
Deion Sanders has been criticized for his comments saying he is looking for quarterbacks with both their Mother and their Father in their lives and with a high GPA of 3.5 or higher.
During the Super Bowl, Coach Prime told Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show what he looks for in a quarterback and his first comment was simple, BOTH PARENTS.
“We want mother, father, you know, dual parents,” Sanders says. “We want that kid to be 3.5 [GPA] and up because he’s got to be smart.
“[He can’t make] bad decisions off the field. At all. Because he has to be a leader of men. There are so many different attributes and what we look for when we see a quarterback. And, [we] would love a coach’s son.”
Shaquille O’Neal has responded and he feels Deion is spitting straight facts!
“Ain’t nothing wrong with that. Ain’t nothing wrong with what he said … You know why I have discipline? You know why I don’t get in trouble? You know why I don’t do dumb sh*t? Daddy would have whooped my ass. Lot of kids don’t have that. A lot of kids have hard working mothers that really have to work and they grow up on their own. And you can go left or you can go right. Studies show, statistics show that’s just how it is,” Shaq explained on his podcast.
Shaq refused to back down and said Deion was “spitting the facts”.
