The Biggest Question of the Super Bowl remains, Is Rihanna Pregnant Again?
NFL Betting: The Most Popular Super Bowl Prop Bets

Now that the Super Bowl LVII is over and all the excitement over having watched one great game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended with the formers’ victory of 38-35 in Phoenix last February, we can begin to look back on things that striked us the most. And one cannot argue that what was really interesting this season was the wealth of prop bets and the bet propositions themselves!

The Super Bowl 2023 was a record-breaking event from a betting perspective. Bookmakers and betting sites from all over the world, including the best sports betting sites in Philippines, which generally have an aptitude in NFL betting, experienced an incredible influx of wagers for the Big Game. This influx eventually kicked the final at the top of the most betted-on events. In fact, the American Gaming Association reported that the bets were not even close to what was expected – they were insanely higher above the forecasts.

What is really interesting is that a great portion of these bets involved prop bets, which quite apparently were crowned as the absolute hypes of Super Bowl betting! Of course moneyline bets, totals and points spread were still the dominant wagers placed by punters, however, the volume of money spent on wagers on various prop bets could not go unnoticed!

And what is even more interesting is that a large portion of these prop bets involved wagers on unusual, weird and peculiar propositions! Let’s see the most popular unusual or weird prop bets in the 2023 Super Bowl.

The color of the Gatorade bath: ever since the Gatorade bath became a tradition of the Super Bowl, the interest of fans has been mounting, as they are eager to see what color will the shower end up on the winning coach. But it is not only fans…it is also bettors who have strong interest in this tradition and so they get to wager on the color!

The coin toss: the Super Bowl coin toss is now a MUST betting market for a large percentage of bettors who are hard core fans of the NFL. Despite the fact that it is a bet that is exclusively based on luck – which means that bettors can’t really have any kind of betting edge, it has become more mainstream in the last few years. This season, the coin toss bet accumulated a very big fragment of the Super Bowl bets!

How long will the national anthem last? totally outside the frame of the Big Game but all too relevant with the entire sentiment over the Super Bowl, the length of the national anthem keeps on appearing on the top of prop bets and the truth is that it gets all the attraction that it deserves!

The jersey number of the first player to score a TD: expressed as an over/under bet, bookies got a lot of wagers on the jersey number of the first player that would score a touchdown. Indeed a very interesting and very clever, but funny all the way bet which makes sense for NFL fans.

How many short touchdowns will there be? Again expressed as an over/under wager, this bet also gathered an astonishing volume of bets in the Super Bowl last February. But it turns out that every year this prop bet is largely preferred by punters as it goes past the prediction of the shortest touchdown, to forecasting how many short touchdowns there are going to be!

The first song at half-time: ok, this year this prop bet was about Rihanna’s first song but the thing is that this prop bet goes on and on for many years now and many bettors get to wager on the first song performed by the artist. It has nothing to do with the Big Game itself, but once again it has everything to do with the event.
