What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Started when I was about 8 when I first started playing tackle. I didn’t really know all the rules, but I knew I was having fun, and from then on I just kinda fell in love with it.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Looking for that opportunity of course and hoping a team takes that chance on me, but ultimately I just want to prove I can be one of the best to ever do it if given the chance.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Von Miller, just because he’s who I modeled my game after for all these years, I studied his game to the best of my ability, so it’d definitely be an honor to hang with him.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Winning state my junior year in high school, and the homecoming victory against NCCU my junior year in college at Mississippi Valley.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom just because of her ambition alone. She always strives to be the best in whatever she does, and helped put that mindset into me from a young age.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3, because you have to have a really solid group of backers to make it work, and gives the lineman up front a lot of one on one battles alot of the times. It’s a scheme that’s usually sure to work as long as you got some dogs in the box.

What should we know about Ronnie Thomas the person?

Just an easy going guy all around ultimately, movie lover. Someone with a caring heart and is extremely loyal to those who are loyal to him. And just a guy who puts his best foot forward in everything he does. Very ambitious.

What stands out about your film the most?

My explosion, closing speed, and pass rushing. I know those are the things pop out to everybody who watches my film.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Head on. I feel like that’s the only way to take on adversity. You gotta just take it on with everything you got over and over again, until you finally conquer it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

An old school type of player. Gritty, explosive, and always making plays and around the ball. They can put me anywhere on the field and I’ll find a way to make plays and cause havoc.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The atmosphere on game day, or for a big game.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Jacory Rankin, a lot of people look at his height and sleep on him, but he’s one of the best wide receiver’s in the draft this year.
