Could the Packers make Aaron Rodgers wait until they get what they want in a trade?
Everyone thinks the Green Bay Packers want to get rid of Aaron Rodgers but that may not be the case. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, The Packers are willing to wait until the draft to trade Rodgers, if that’s what it takes to get what they want in value for their star quarterback.
Everyone feels the New York Jets will get Rodgers and not have to give up a first-round pick, but the Jets have backed themselves into a corner. The Jets have no plan B, and let’s face it everyone in the entire NFL know that.
The Packers are definitely releasing this news in hopes to drive up the price, but if the Jets want to play hard ball, they can just say that’s fine, we will draft a quarterback. The problem is if they are bluffing, they could be screwing themselves.
Plan B has to be initiated at this point. If the Jets are smart, they would do what they can to get Rodgers already. They need to make a move quickly so they can get some help on their team before it is too late.
So right now, ball is in Packers court, but it could start bouncing all over the place around 1pm today. Aaron Rodgers will be on the Pat McAfee show today at 1, who knows what he will say. It will get a ton of viewers though.
