What made you decide wanted to be a football player?
Ever since I started watching football on tv when I was younger, I have always had the desire to play it. I was able to catch a football since the age of 2 and I’ve been drawn to it since I can remember.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments of my football life are the state championship I won in high school at Don Bosco Prep and the conference championship I won at Utah State.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’m looking to help a team win as much as possible in any way that I can in my career.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I’d want to hang out with Sean Taylor. He was a great player and it’s a tragedy that he was killed so young.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
Both of my parents inspire me the most. They are both extremely hardworking and intelligent and seeing that pushes me to work to become the best version of myself.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
I enjoy playing in a 1 high scheme that uses me in a variety of ways. I like being able to play as a deep safety, in the box, in man coverage, and as a Blitzer.
What should we know about Hunter Reynolds the person?
I’m not just a hard worker on the field. Off the field, if I apply my mind to something, I will work relentlessly to accomplish it.
What stands out about your film the most?
How versatile I am and how high my football IQ is. On my film you will see me align in numerous spots and handle numerous assignments. You will also see ample plays where you can tell that I diagnose the play before the snap.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle challenges by just putting my head down and working. I truly believe that I’m equipped to persevere through any situation if I work hard enough.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would be getting a hardworking, intelligent, versatile player. I would be a great addition to any locker room and would be able to help a team win.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love the competitiveness of it. Lining up play after play from another person who wants to beat you gives me a thrill.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
The most underrated player I’ve played with is my guy Mike Anyanwu at Utah State. He’s one of the smartest corners I’ve played with and he’s also a dog on the field.
