If Derrick Henry is on the trade block, Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills better be calling

The Buffalo Bills are not too many players away from getting over the hump. Last year they threw tons of money at Von Miller who was supposed to help their defense when they got deep in the playoffs but injuries hurt the pass rushers shot to make an impact.

Now, the Bills are back to square one, they do not have much money but they can maneuver their way around to make a run at a few players. They will likely lose Jordan Poyer and Tremaine Edmunds in free agency, but they still have some huge holes.

The biggest problem to me is taking some pressure off Josh Allen. What is the best way to do that? Get a running back that can dominate on the ground. The Bills have not had a solid run game at all, their leading rusher is always Josh Allen.

You cannot expect to run Josh Allen when the game is on the line. You need to keep him healthy, he is the franchise QB.

There was a report that came out this morning from Mike Silver of BallySports.com who is claiming the Titans are in fact shopping their star running back Derrick Henry. Henry is 29 and is coming off a rough year with injuries, but the guy is a beast. He still averaged 4.4 yards per carry last year and his salary cap hit is only 10.5 million this year.

The Bills need to be on the phone and offering up draft picks if they can get him. He is the best running back in the NFL and it is not close. If you can add a player who is bigger than most linebackers and can block and catch out the backfield you have to make the move.

The Bills have been linked to multiple running backs in the NFL Draft this year. Many of them being the top backs, if the Bills are in fact thinking about drafting a running back, why not get a veteran? The best damn veteran?

If Josh Allen and Dion Dawkins both restructure their contracts the Buffalo Bills will have tons of money. If you could take the pressure off yourself wouldn’t you do it? Josh Allen has a very friendly contract with what some of these quarterbacks are requesting in free agency. The Bills need to make the call.
